The Roseland Public Schools is committed to the identification and service of students with special needs within the least restrictive environment. The district provides children with special needs, a free and appropriate public education (FAPE) consistent with federal and state laws. As a member of the Sonoma County Special Education Local Plan Area, we offer a full range of special education services for students with disabilities ranging from mild learning disorders to severe physical and cognitive impairments. Credentialed special education teachers, speech therapists, occupational therapists, adapted physical education specialists and school psychologists make up our exceptional special education professionals. Services and placements are based upon each student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP).  The Local Plan for Special Education can be found here: https://www.sonomaselpa.org/info/governance.
