Superintendent

Dear Roseland Community,

It is a great honor and privilege to serve the Roseland School District as its new Superintendent. 

Looking back on my first year in the district, I found RUP and the Roseland School District to be a uniquely special place for students, families, and staff. I have met so many staff members throughout the district who have expressed their passion and commitment to RSD. There truly is something exceptional about Roseland and what you have all worked so hard to create over the years. I am fully committed to supporting and building upon what has been established here. During the upcoming year, you will see me at your sites working to get to know as many of you as possible, and learn what makes each site unique and an excellent place for kids.

As I look forward to what lies ahead, I see opportunities to build upon the progress made through the Principal Support Network and the PLC work conducted at each site. The PLC process, in which educators collaborate on what happens in the classroom for our students, is a proven way to increase student achievement. At the charter level, we will be focusing on Unification. The closure of RCP has been and will be a complicated process. Moving forward, the process will be transparent, involving staff, students, and our community. There will be opportunities to ask questions and get information regularly as we move through the school year. By the end of the work, we will have focused on what is best for Roseland students and what aligns with our mission. Roseland Public Schools reflects the community's dream that all students will graduate from high school with options for college entrance and successful, productive careers. Your involvement and understanding are crucial in this journey.

Once again, I am deeply honored to serve as the Superintendent of Roseland School District. Our collective efforts, involving students, parents, staff, and the entire community of Roseland, are what make our district truly special. I want to express my gratitude for all that you do for our students. Your support and involvement are invaluable, and I look forward to our continued collaboration.
